Welcome to Claybrooke Mill 

 

Claybrooke Water Mill contains one of the oldest working water mills in the Leicestershire, dating back further than the Domesday Book to a map dated 962.

 

We produce a range of organic flours and flour mixes, using traditional equipment, some of which is hundreds of years old. Claybrooke mill is a commercially operating water mill, milling most days by waterpower.

 

The mill has a reputation for consistent high quality flours and muesli’s with our own brand of flour and muesli  mixes. Most of our flours are strong and are excellent for bread makers and for hand baking (All except the plain soft and Self Raising which are suitable for general baking). We mill to order, ensuring fresh tasty flour.

 

We also supply dough conditioners, Gluten, dough improver, dough relaxer and dough softener, to home bakers and to the kitchenware company Lakeland.

Many of our flours and muesli’s are organic; all of them free from additives and made with fresh ingredients.

Claybrooke Mill produce can be found in good food outlets in Leicestershire and surrounding counties. See 'about us' for list of outlets. Our mail order service can help. Orders can be collected from the mill by prior arrangement.

We are members of the Traditional Corn Millers guild, a guild of artisan millers.

The Soil Association certifies our organic production.

Claybrooke Mill is a commercially operating Water mill so unfortunately the Watermill is not open to the public except by appointment or look out for our open days during the year.

Our Open day on Sunday 23rd September 2007 Was a huge success over 600 people attended and we raised £2801.59 for Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance based at Coventry Airport. Thank you.
